The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helsinki with a lazy takedown attempt
and Blanchard cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Blanchard cracks Helsinki with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Blanchard lands a nice shot that snaps Helsinki's head back.
Helsinki tries for a takedown but Blanchard circles away easily
and Blanchard counters with a nice uppercut.
Blanchard scores with a punch to the head.
Helsinki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Blanchard was covering up waiting for the punch and Helsinki finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Blanchard is looking for a triangle but Helsinki pushes his legs off easily.
Helsinki won't allow Blanchard to sweep him here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Helsinki slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Helsinki's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blanchard throws a combination. Helsinki tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Blanchard fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Helsinki on the side of the head.
Helsinki is rocked!
Blanchard drops Helsinki with a naaaaasty hook - Helsinki is in real trouble here! Blanchard dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
