Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Loureiro (ranked 2982 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Stolt (ranked 4143 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rafael Loureiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Stolt!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loureiro misses the jab.
Stolt connects with a looping right hand.
Stolt throws a hook to the side of Loureiro's head but Loureiro sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Loureiro half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
A jab from Loureiro misses.
A swing and a miss from Loureiro.
Stolt throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A telegraphed right hand from Stolt misses the target.
Stolt fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Loureiro ducks under a wild hook from Stolt.
Loureiro cracks Stolt with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stolt enables Loureiro to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stolt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stolt is trying to keep Loureiro in close.
Loureiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stolt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Loureiro is working hard here to advance position.
Loureiro stands and throws Stolt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Loureiro tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Loureiro is trying to get an arm triangle but Stolt is defending well.
Loureiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stolt keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Loureiro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Loureiro tries to advance to mount but can't.
Stolt is looking to regain half guard here but Loureiro keeps moving and retains side control.
Loureiro tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

You can see the frustration on Stolt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Loureiro advances to mount.
Loureiro trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Loureiro is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Stolt has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Stolt!
Loureiro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Loureiro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stolt defends well.

Loureiro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stolt defends it easily.
Loureiro tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Loureiro tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stolt swivels and escapes.
Stolt moves away from the strike by Loureiro.
Loureiro swings for the body but Stolt moves out of range.
Loureiro misses with an uppercut.
Stolt swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A looping hook to the body misses from Loureiro. Stolt does a little dance to reset his feet.
Loureiro steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stolt.
Loureiro connects with a body shot that sends Stolt's belly button to the back.
Loureiro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Loureiro throws a poor cross that misses
and Stolt counters with a nice uppercut.
Loureiro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stolt sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stolt takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Loureiro tries to keep at a distance but Stolt has taken the fight into the clinch.

Loureiro has Stolt pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Loureiro pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Stolt tumbling to the mat - Loureiro dives into Stolt's guard.
Loureiro slips nicely into half guard.
Loureiro is pressing down on Stolt's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stolt is holding on for now.
Rafael Loureiro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Loureiro wants to control but Stolt is keeping him busy.
Loureiro wants to pass to mount but Stolt is defending the position.

Loureiro wants to free his trapped foot but Stolt is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Loureiro is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Stolt has managed to free his arm - good work.

Loureiro is looking for a kimura but Stolt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Loureiro to get the leverage.
Loureiro passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Stolt!
Stolt is working to get back to half guard.
Loureiro is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stolt can do to turn this around?

Stolt reaches up and holds on to Loureiro to control the position.

Loureiro goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Stolt turns into him and now he's in Loureiro's guard.
Loureiro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Loureiro is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Loureiro looking to control but Stolt is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Loureiro is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stolt is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Loureiro goes for an armbar but Stolt turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Stolt.
Loureiro wants to sweep here but Stolt controlling him for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Loureiro catches Stolt with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Loureiro stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Loureiro counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Loureiro looks to throw the jab but Stolt is out of range.
Stolt moves out of range of the strikes.
Stolt throws a shot from downtown. Loureiro moves away and avoids it.
Stolt thuds his right hand into Loureiro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Stolt lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Loureiro keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Loureiro fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Loureiro. Stolt does a little dance to reset his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Loureiro throws out a loose jab but Stolt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Loureiro shoots in for a takedown but Stolt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Oscar Stolt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Loureiro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stolt throws out the jab.
Loureiro connects with a single shot there.
Stolt throws a jab when Loureiro was well out of range.
Loureiro works Stolt's body with a nice hook.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Loureiro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stolt was well out of range. Poor timing from Loureiro.

Stolt lands with a good body shot.

Nice uppercut lands for Stolt. That snapped Loureiro's head back.

Stolt is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Loureiro.
Stolt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Loureiro drops down looking for a counter takedown but Stolt sprawls and moves away.

Loureiro closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stolt did well to prevent Loureiro getting side control.
Stolt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rafael Loureiro.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Loureiro, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
