Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nathan Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Gonzales.

Gonzales closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gonzales lands in his opponent's guard.
Gonzales must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

So is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

So escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gonzales gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gonzales throws a sloppy head kick and So moves out of range easily.
Gonzales lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but So circles away quickly and effectively.
So blocks a head kick by Gonzales.
No luck for So with that takedown attempt.

It looks like Dip So has been cut.
Nathan Gonzales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gonzales tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gonzales tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gonzales tries to close the distance and clinch but So swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gonzales stuffs the takedown attempt from So . So gets slowly back to his feet.

Gonzales throws a nice looking combination but So bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
So looks for a takedown but Gonzales sprawls well.
So looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Gonzales misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
So fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dip So is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Nathan Gonzales showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Gonzales lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Gonzales feints and as So raises his hands in defense, Gonzales changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gonzales wants to pass the guard but So is keeping the position.

So has an active guard here but Gonzales has managed to pass into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gonzales trying to mount his opponent but So defends it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

So actively working from the bottom here.
Dip So has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nathan Gonzales is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
So really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gonzales wants to free his trapped foot but So is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Nathan Gonzales comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gonzales has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
