The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Motown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davis to the mat! Davis manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Motown working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Motown is pushing down on Davis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Davis is fighting to maintain full guard but Motown has managed to sneak the leg through.
Motown trying to control the action but Davis is working from the bottom.

Motown wants to work for an arm triangle but Davis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Motown seems to be working for a kimura but Davis defends the submission attempt.
Motown is breathing heavily.

Motown seems to be looking for submissions.

Motown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
