The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ivanov dives in and scores a takedown into Wells's guard.

Ivanov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ivanov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wells wants to get back to his feet but Ivanov passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing that Ivanov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Wells is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ivanov is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Wells is hurt! He's hurt bad - Ivanov fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Wells from any more punishment! Congratulations to Ivanov! Great finish!
