Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Jones (ranked 680 p4p, 97 weight class) and Piet Smit (ranked 1300 p4p, 182 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Raining Blood - Slayer. Smit has chosen Baby Got Back as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smit lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.

Smit shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Smit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Smit might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Jones has got the better of the exchanges.

Smit shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Jones engages and cracks Smit with a massive lead left hook - Smit tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Jones is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

In defeat, Piet Smit stepped up to the mic, saying 'Winning is not everything, it is the only thing! I'll be back!'.
