Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Wayne (ranked 2353 p4p, 263 weight class) and Silo Zama (ranked 3492 p4p, 331 weight class). Zama is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Paint it Black. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Wayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Silo Zama!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne misses the shot to the body.
Wayne lands a nice looking body shot.
A combination from Wayne does no damage.
Wayne tries to bum rush Zama with a series of wild strikes but Zama uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zama unleashes a big counter combination but Wayne bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
An inside leg kick from Wayne misses.
A left lands for Wayne.
Wayne misses with a double jab
and Zama counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Wayne falls off balance throwing a combination
and Zama counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zama lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wayne circles away quickly and effectively.
Wayne tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Zama is able to avoid easily.

Zama clinches up with Wayne and pushes him back against the cage.
Zama lands an elbow just above Wayne 's eye.

Wayne takes a shot to the head.
Wayne prevents a body shot from Zama.
Zama digs a right hand into Wayne's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Wayne's gas tank.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Zama just misses with a elbow thrown towards Wayne's brow.
Wayne is trying to force a seperation but Zama has the dominant position.

Wayne looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wayne is trying to break the clinch but Zama is controlling him.
Zama pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zama creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Zama continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

Wayne's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wayne scores with a one two! Zama had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Wayne swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Zama forces Wayne back against the cage and clinches.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silo Zama dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Wayne throws a predictable looking body shot
and Zama rattles Wayne with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Wayne tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Zama dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Wayne stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Silo Zama!
Silo Zama decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
