Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lenny McClean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McClean comes to the cage accompanied by Bodies - Drowning Pool. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lenny McClean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripper avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ripper connects with a good right hand that stumbles McClean. McClean circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McClean misses with the combination.
Some wild striking there from McClean.
McClean looks to score with a jab to the body but Ripper is just out of range.
McClean swats away the attempt to clinch by Ripper.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ripper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Horrible takedown by Ripper or perhaps it was just good defense by McClean which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ripper wants to clinch up but McClean keeps it at a distance.
McClean lands with a nice body punch.
Ripper shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ripper is looking to clinch but McClean is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McClean misses with a two punch combination.
Ripper throws a left and a right that both miss
and McClean counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like Jack Ripper has been cut.
Ripper closes the distance but McClean moves to the side
and McClean counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ripper moves out of range as McClean strikes.
Ripper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McClean swivels and escapes.
Lenny McClean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Ripper.
Ripper takes one on the chin but seems OK.
McClean misses with a wild body shot.
McClean throws a shot from downtown. Ripper moves away and avoids it.
Lenny McClean is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ripper scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McClean works over Ripper's head and body with a nice combination.
Ripper takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ripper looks gassed!
Ripper on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McClean, as that shot connected.
McClean scores with a jab.
McClean connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


That has opened up Jack Ripper's cut even more.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McClean drops his shoulder and cracks Ripper with a huge uppercut! Ripper goes down! Can McClean finish him?


Ripper is rocked!
McClean wants to stand but Ripper has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
McClean pushes down on Ripper's leg and manages to get into half guard.
McClean thows a huge punch but Ripper dodges it nicely.
Ripper is not content to let McClean control the position.
McClean perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
McClean is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

McClean in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ripper tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from McClean!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lenny McClean!
