Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodtang Jaotalaytong (ranked 3201 p4p, 339 weight class) and Matthew Roy (ranked 2953 p4p, 322 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roy moves into the clinch successfully.

Jaotalaytong manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Jaotalaytong.
Roy is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Roy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jaotalaytong was covering up waiting for the punch and Roy finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jaotalaytong wants to stand but Roy is controlling the position.
Roy is looking to stand up but Jaotalaytong won't let him.
Roy is standing up over Jaotalaytong. Jaotalaytong looks to escape but Roy dives into side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jaotalaytong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Roy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A head kick lands from Jaotalaytong that sends Roy to the canvas. Roy tries to scramble back to his feet but Jaotalaytong brings him back down into side control.

Jaotalaytong decides to stand back up. Jaotalaytong steps back and let's Roy get back to his feet.
Roy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jaotalaytong defends well and Roy ends up having to push Jaotalaytong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Roy tries to counter by closing the distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters circling a little - Jaotalaytong finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Roy is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Jaotalaytong Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Roy is out cold, face down on the mat!
