Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nice uppercut lands for Burp. That snapped Hill's head back.
Hill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burp as he avoids it easily.
Hill shoots and misses

Hill on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Hill shoots in and bounces Burp off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hill working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Burp's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hill loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Burp's head.

It looks like Wyatt Burp has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill throws a big elbow that misses.
Hill working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hill lands a couple of elbows.

Wyatt Burp's cut is getting worse.
Hill postures up in Burp's guard and throws a big left but Burp blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hill content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Jeez, Wyatt Burp's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Wyatt Burp's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
