And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arvo Elukka!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Topper Green and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Elukka on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fury. Fury obviously looking to wear him down.

Nick Fury has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arvo Elukka.

and Fury counters with a straight right hand.

Fury stuffs the takedown attempt from Elukka. Elukka gets slowly back to his feet.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fury, right into the meat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Elukka shoots for a double leg takedown but Fury sprawls well. He's pushed Elukka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fury connects with a single shot there.


It looks like Arvo Elukka has been cut.
Elukka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fury sprawls well. Fury wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Elukka gets slowly back to his feet.
Elukka's coach down at Cozad MMA Sydney was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Elukka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Elukka dives in for a single leg takedown but Fury sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Fury drops Elukka with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Elukka! Fury dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Fury!
Nick Fury decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
