The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallagher throws a wild body kick that Geone sees coming a mile off.
Gallagher takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Edgardo Gallagher has been cut.
Geone throws a head kick but Gallagher moves out of range.
Gallagher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Geone moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Geone clinches up against the cage.

Gallagher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Geone keeps the fight on the outside.
Gallagher throws a series of punches but Geone moves out of range.
Geone throws a head kick but Gallagher moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gallagher tries to keep at a distance but Geone has taken the fight into the clinch.
Geone jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gallagher walks away with a smile on his face. Geone gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Geone feints with a jab and clips Gallagher right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Gallagher is sent crashing into the canvas and Geone leaps in for the kill! Gallagher tries to get to his feet but Geone is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Gallagher is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alberto Geone!
