The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hornaday closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hornaday breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hornaday shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Hornaday forces his way into half guard.
Hornaday trying to control from half guard but Farrell is working away.
Farrell is looking to get back to full guard here but Hornaday has managed to pass to side control instead.
Farrell wants to control but Hornaday postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hornaday goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Farrell rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hornaday's guard! Nice work there by Farrell!
Farrell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Farrell gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hornaday doesn't manage to clinch there - Farrell circles away.
Farrell is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hornaday.
Hornaday wants to clinch.
Farrell drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hornaday sprawls and moves away.
Jeremiah Hornaday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hornaday closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hornaday happy to just control the position for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Farrell sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hornaday decides to stand up.
Hornaday moves in looking to clinch but Farrell pushes him off.
Farrell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hornaday counters with a good low kick that Farrell was not able to check.

Hornaday clinches.

Hornaday tightens his grip and picks Farrell up, before dumping him to the ground. Farrell manages to land in guard.

Hornaday lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Farrell is working an open guard so Hornaday takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Oooooh!!! Hornaday has knocked Farrell down with a huge combo! Hornaday steps away and waves a wobbly Farrell back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Jerry Farrell has been cut.

Oh Farrell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hornaday pushes Farrell against the cage. Hornaday is working some dirty boxing. Hornaday pushes off with a quick right hook! Farrell goes down! Farrell tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hornaday moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
