Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Skjoldr Leifsson (ranked 23082 p4p, 556 weight class) and William Bonin (ranked 23403 p4p, 573 weight class). William Bonin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leifsson throws a nice inside leg kick.

Bonin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

A quick step to the side and Leifsson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bonin throws a lazy right hand but Leifsson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The fighters circling - Leifsson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Bonin misses with a hook. Leifsson ducked under it nicely.
Leifsson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

William Bonin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been informed that Bonin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Bonin tries to stand but Leifsson is controlling from the bottom.
Leifsson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Bonin wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Leifsson's closed guard. He's half up but Leifsson has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Leifsson pivots and extends the arm, Bonin falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Leifsson! Well done that man!

Skjoldr Leifsson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
