Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mary Read (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Faraimo (ranked 3842 p4p, 342 weight class). Faraimo has chosen Cypress Hill - A Man as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faraimo lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Mary Read has been cut.
Faraimo misses with a combination
and Read counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Brad Faraimo has been cut.
Faraimo's coach down at Underground MMA- Sydney was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Faraimo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A punch combination from Faraimo misses.
Read swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Faraimo slips under a jab.

Faraimo throws the left hand but Read avoids the punch easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Read moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Read on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Faraimo cracks Read with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Faraimo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Read to stand back up!

Read throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Faraimo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Read looks to throw the jab but Faraimo is out of range.
A little jabbing left from Faraimo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Read takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Faraimo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Faraimo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Faraimo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Read.
Faraimo throws an off balance right hand
and Read connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Read on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Read missing with a left hand there. Faraimo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Read throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Faraimo drops Read with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Read looks back up at him and smiles so Faraimo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Read is rocked!

Oh Read is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Read seems to have got his legs back now.
Read throws a hook but Faraimo blocks it.
Read gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Faraimo gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
