Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Leafar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stewie Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Rafael Leafar has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Leafar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stewie Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leafar's waist but Leafar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Griffin off to one side.

Griffin shoots in and bounces Leafar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Griffin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
I looks like Griffin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Griffin postures up in Leafar's guard and throws a big left but Leafar blocks it.
Leafar wants to sweep but no luck.
Leafar working a defensive guard here.
Griffin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Griffin with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leafar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
No luck for Leafar with that takedown attempt.
Griffin has a takedown stuffed.
Griffin looks for a takedown but Leafar sprawls well.
Rafael Leafar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stewie Griffin.
Leafar throws a push kick but Griffin slaps the foot to one side.
Griffin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Griffin takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rafael Leafar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Griffin. No joy for Leafar on that attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Griffin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leafar tries to avoid it but Griffin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leafar to the ground. Leafar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Leafar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Griffin's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leafar trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Griffin striking off his back but it's not causing Leafar any problems.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Leafar's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Leafar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Griffin is keeping the position for now.
Leafar is breathing heavily.
Griffin seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Griffin has his feet on Leafar's thighs here. He's pushed Leafar off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Leafar screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
