Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gilberto Da Souza (ranked 3600 p4p, 365 weight class) and Billy Quinn (ranked 2576 p4p, 272 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Gilberto Da Souza has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gilberto Da Souza seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Quinn cracks a nice hook into Souza's ribs.
Quinn works the jab nicely.
Quinn leaves Souza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Quinn dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Quinn scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Quinn throws a combination. Souza tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Quinn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Souza.
Souza tries for a takedown but Quinn circles away easily
and Quinn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Souza shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Quinn counters with a straight right hand.

Souza gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gilberto Da Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Quinn, as that shot connected.

Quinn with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Quinn connects with a nice looking jab.
Souza shoots in looking for a takedown but Quinn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Souza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Billy Quinn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Quinn lands with a straight right. Souza didn't see that one coming.
Quinn cracks Souza with a good jab.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quinn sprawls well. Quinn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Souza gets slowly back to his feet.
A little jabbing left from Quinn on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Souza gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Quinn cracks Souza with a good jab.
Quinn is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Souza had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Quinn scores with a punch to the head.
Quinn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Souza shoots and misses
and Quinn counters with a stiff right hand.
Souza is breathing heavily.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Quinn as he jumps to the side.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Quinn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Souza eats them both and turns towards Quinn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Souza is rocked!
Quinn scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Oh Souza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Quinn Throws a clean left jab. Quinn Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Souza's chin! Souza crumbles to the ground and Quinn follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Quinn!
