Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Laoka (ranked 1523 p4p, 208 weight class) and Lorenzo Turturro (ranked 910 p4p, 133 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Turturro lands a nice shot to the body.

and Laoka counters with a nice uppercut.

Laoka is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Turturro.
Turturro bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Laoka's head backwards.
Laoka takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Turturro stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Turturro throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Turturro throws a lazy right hand but Laoka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Laoka lands with a straight right. Turturro didn't see that one coming.

Turturro slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Oh Laoka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Turturro counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Turturro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Laoka staying out of range there.
Laoka clinches up with Turturro and pushes him back against the cage.
Laoka misses with a body punch.
Laoka misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Laoka misses with a hook to the ribs.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Turturro wants to get back to striking at distance but Laoka won't allow it.
Laoka digs a right hand into Turturro's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Turturro's gas tank.
Turturro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Laoka throws a chopping leg kick but Turturro manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lorenzo Turturro dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
