Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Howard Ewing (ranked 6079 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Eon (ranked 4880 p4p, 0 weight class). Howard Ewing has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Howard Ewing!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bill Eon!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing fails with a takedown attempt.

Eon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Ewing tries to kick Eon off but Eon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eon is working for a submission of some sort.

Let's hope that Eon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ewing has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Eon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Ewing pushes Eon off looking to stand but Eon dives back in and keeps control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Eon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ewing quickly recovers to half guard.
Eon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Eon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Eon has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ewing's face.

Well Eon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
