The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vance has Bumperstein up against the cage in a clinch.
Vance is looking to take this one to the mat.
Bumperstein wants to get back to striking at distance but Vance won't allow it.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Bumperstein.
Bumperstein breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A low kick from Vance misses
and Bumperstein counters with a nice uppercut.
Vance really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vance scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bumperstein gets back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bumperstein manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bumperstein is looking to sweep but instead, Vance has passed into half guard.

Vance content to control rather than advance.
Bumperstein is looking to control Vance's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bumperstein avoid being mounted?
Bumperstein wants to improve his position but Vance is controlling well.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Vance throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Bumperstein has managed to clinch.
Vance has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bumperstein uses from the top position.
Vance has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bumperstein doesn't defend quickly enough and Vance has managed to lock this one up! Can Bumperstein escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Vance on a fantastic submission victory.
