Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Lang!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Francis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Francis misses with a straight left.
Francis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Francis swinging wilding here.
Francis jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lang takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lang throws a body kick that misses.
Lang throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Francis.
Francis waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Lang.
Francis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lang sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Lang as Francis shoots in.
Malik Francis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lang throws a right and a left that both miss.
Francis moves out of range as Lang throws a body kick.
Francis slips a jab and a cross from Lang.
Lang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Francis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Francis throws an overhand right that lands on Lang's shoulder, as Lang tries to avoid the shot.
Lang tries to clinch up.

Lang gets a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lang.
Francis tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lang lands a right hand that snaps the head of Francis backwards.

Lang breaks from the clinch.

Francis gets the takedown into side control.
Francis is chipping away with strikes.
Francis cracks Lang with a big elbow.


Lang is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Francis lands a decent elbow from side control.
Lang is still on wobbly legs! Can Francis finish him?
Francis cracks Lang with a big right hand but Lang just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Lang on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Francis looks up at the clock and then as Lang takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Francis smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Francis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Francis lands a decent elbow from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lang is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Francis scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lang to see if he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Francis lands a few punches from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lang takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Francis in side control lands a decent elbow.
Lang tries to escape but Francis is in control.
Lang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Francis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lang looks gassed!

Francis is looking to take a break and control but Lang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lang prevents Francis from moving into mount.
Lang seems to have recovered his senses.

Lang parries the strikes from Francis easily there. Francis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lang to escape.

Lang is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Francis asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Francis tries to score with some ground and pound. Lang controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lang moves away from the strike by Francis.
Francis throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Francis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lang takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Francis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lang is trying to buck Francis off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lang on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Francis taking a break here but Lang is having none of it and regains half guard.
Lang looks like he's trying to stand up.
Francis scoring with strikes to the body and head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lang won't allow Francis to pass to mount.
Lang pushes Francis off looking to stand but Francis dives back in and keeps control.
Francis slips a nice elbow through Lang's hands, connecting with Lang's forehead.
Lang tries to kick Francis off but Francis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Malik Francis dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lang shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Francis counters with a two punch combo.
Francis with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lang to score with a decent uppercut.
Lang uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Francis.
Francis misses with a right hand
and Lang counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Francis! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Lang!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Lang!
