Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Serbanescu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bilo Sagdiyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bilo Sagdiyev!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Serbanescu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sagdiyev is looking to regain half guard here but Serbanescu keeps moving and retains side control.

Serbanescu lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sagdiyev down.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sagdiyev can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sagdiyev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sagdiyev showed some decent athleticism there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sagdiyev is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bilo Sagdiyev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Serbanescu had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sagdiyev is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Serbanescu Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sagdiyev's back instead.
Serbanescu is not going to allow Sagdiyev to sit and survive in this position.
Sagdiyev has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Serbanescu is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Sagdiyev has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Bilo Sagdiyev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sagdiyev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
