Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adalberto Richards (ranked 7446 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiger West (ranked 3168 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adalberto Richards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tiger West!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West rushes Richards and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

West pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

West gets the takedown into side control.

Richards throws West to one side and escapes!

Richards gets tackled into the cage by West. West maintains the clinch.
West works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Richards jumps guard but West stands there with Richards around his waist. Richards gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

West decides to pull guard.

West looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Richards throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
West preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
West is trying to control the position from the bottom.

West throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
West working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Richards.
West looking to hit a scissor sweep but Richards is one step ahead there.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Richards accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
West bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Richards's guard.

Richards will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
West wants to stand but Richards is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
West connects with a couple of short punches.
West keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Richards's head.
Richards has a closed guard, preventing West from standing up.
West slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Richards keeping moving, preventing West from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
West landing some decent shots from guard.

Richards working for a triangle but West defends it easily.
West engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
West is looking to stand up but Richards won't let him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Richards gets tackled into the cage by West. West maintains the clinch.

West manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Richards.

West gets a takedown into half guard.

West is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
West seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tiger West dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


West throws a sloppy head kick
and Richards cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
West clobbers Richards with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


Richards is rocked!


It looks like Adalberto Richards has been cut.
West moves in close and cracks Richards with a massive right hand! Richards, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by West!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tiger West!
