Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyosuke Shibaraki (ranked 5444 p4p, 424 weight class) and Lodeye Little (ranked 4943 p4p, 401 weight class). Shibaraki comes to the cage accompanied by SAVAGE 101. Kyosuke Shibaraki has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shibaraki misses the shot to the body.
Little tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Shibaraki throws a left and a right that both miss

and Little counters with a takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Shibaraki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Little trying to control the position but Shibaraki is working away.

Little is trying to get an arm triangle but Shibaraki is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Little tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shibaraki can't do much from the bottom here.

Shibaraki is looking to regain half guard here but Little keeps moving and retains side control.

Little moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Shibaraki has worked his arm free - good work by Shibaraki!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee asks Little politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Little prefers to stall for the moment though.

Shibaraki sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Little with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Shibaraki is trying to stand up here but Little is controlling him well.
Little performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Little is looking to take a break and control but Shibaraki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Shibaraki looks for the body kick but Little saw that one coming.
And Little tries to counter it with a takedown but Shibaraki pushes his down on his head and steps out.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Little throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shibaraki was covering up waiting for the punch and Little finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Shibaraki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Little controls the pace.

Little drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shibaraki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Little has Shibaraki in his guard.

Shibaraki content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Little has locked up a guillotine! Little's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Shibaraki is holding on here and Little must be using up a lot of energy. Shibaraki has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Little gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
