Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Devin Morningstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Face the Pain as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morningstar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.

It looks like Ryan Smith has been cut.
Smith looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Smith tries to clinch but Morningstar is having none of it.
Morningstar misses with an uppercut.

Morningstar gets a takedown into half guard.
Morningstar wants to stand up but Smith has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Smith blocking the ground and pound attempt from Morningstar.
Morningstar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morningstar not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Morningstar sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Smith defending well though.
Morningstar working over Smith with some ground and pound. Smith looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Morningstar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Smith's head.
Morningstar tries to stand but can't do so whilst Smith controls his leg.
Morningstar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Morningstar throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Smith colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Morningstar as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Smith is left battered and dazed whilst Morningstar and his camp cheer!
