Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ander Silva (ranked 2901 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrestle McWrestle (ranked 7072 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Wrestle McWrestle was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWrestle with a poor takedown
and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McWrestle to the mat! McWrestle manages to get full guard.
Silva forces his way into half guard.
McWrestle is in trouble now - Silva has advanced to mount!
McWrestle is desperately trying to improve his position but Silva has a good base and remains in mount.
Silva avoids the attempt from McWrestle to control.
McWrestle keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McWrestle is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McWrestle and Silva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
McWrestle tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.

Silva is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. McWrestle is trying to escape and Silva transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and McWrestle is forced to tap! Nice work there by Silva! Very nice indeed!
