Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Bass (ranked 4515 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakov Bilic (ranked 24254 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jakov Bilic!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bass looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Bilic pushes Bass off and gets back to his feet.

Bass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bilic closes the distance and pushes Bass back into the cage.
Bass's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Bass swings wildly with an uppercut but Bilic uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bass has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bilic after a bit of a struggle.

Bass wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Bass's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bilic not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bass is looking to stand up but Bilic isn't so interested in that idea.
Bass tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bilic wants to stand and escape but instead Bass has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bilic might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bass haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bass wants to stand and escape but Bilic is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bilic rushes Bass and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bass has Bilic pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bilic manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bilic has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bass regains guard immediately.

That was a close round but I would say that Arturo Bass will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bass throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bilic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bass sprawls well initially but Bilic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bass has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bilic has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
