Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Bunt (ranked 24179 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimura Champ (ranked 4886 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Bunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kimura Champ!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bunt throws a sloppy head kick and Champ moves out of range easily.
Champ wants to counter the offense by Bunt and move into the clinch position.
Bunt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Champ moves into the clinch successfully.

Champ breaks from the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Champ or perhaps it was just good defense by Bunt, which made it look bad.

Champ manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bunt on his heels. He'll look to pass Bunt's guard now, I'm sure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Champ sitting in guard here, content to control.
Bunt is looking to stand up but Champ isn't so interested in that idea.

Bunt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Champ defends it easily.

Champ throws a big right hand that misses.
Champ stopping the sweep attempt from Bunt.
Bunt looking to control.
Champ must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bunt looking for a guillotine here but Champ defends easily.
Champ wants to stand but Bunt has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bunt is working an open guard so Champ takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Champ is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bunt's half guard.
Bunt is breathing heavily.
Champ is taking a breather. Bunt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bunt wants to control but Champ is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Champ keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Bunt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Champ stalling.
Champ really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bunt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Champ thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bunt's head.
Champ uses his free foot to push down on Bunt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bunt.
Bunt is trying desperately to improve position.
Champ controlling the pace for now.
Champ's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Champ misses with a head shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Champ controlling the pace for now.
Bunt is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Champ takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Champ working for a submission but Bunt is keeping him at bay.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Champ throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kimura Champ dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Champ looking to land some kicks to the body here.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Champ breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Champ circles away from the clinch attempt.
Champ throws a combination that misses
and Bunt counters with a two punch combo.
Bunt tries to clinch but Champ is having none of it.
Champ shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bunt sprawls well. Bunt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Champ gets slowly back to his feet.

Champ is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bunt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Champ doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bunt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mark Bunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimura Champ.

Champ closes the distance and pushes Bunt back into the cage.

Bunt is fighting off a takedown attempt but Champ is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bunt to the mat. Bunt regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bunt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Champ controls the pace.
Champ won't allow Bunt to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Champ drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bunt dives on top into guard.

Champ looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bunt puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Champ keeping control of the position.
Champ is looking to improve his position.
Champ controlling the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bunt prevents Champ from improving his position.
Bunt is looking to take a break and control but Champ is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bunt throwing shots but Champ is blocking nicely.

Champ looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Champ is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bunt jumps into side control!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Champ tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Bunt easily slips into full mount!
Bunt landing strikes, looking to finish!
Champ tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Champ reaches up to try and pull Bunt in and control his posture, but Bunt latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! Champ taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mark Bunt!
