Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clyde Reeves (ranked 7089 p4p, 0 weight class) and Audell Tillman (ranked 5147 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Clyde Reeves has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Clyde Reeves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Audell Tillman!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reeves fails in his attempt to clinch.
Reeves lands a two punch combo.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tillman checks a leg kick.
Reeves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Reeves tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tillman lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Reeves dives in and grabs Tillman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tillman pushes down on Reeves's head and hops out.

Tillman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee asks Tillman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tillman prefers to stall for the moment though.

Tillman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tillman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reeves prevents Tillman from improving position.
Reeves is looking for a sweep.
A lull in the action here as Tillman stalls from top position.
Reeves gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Tillman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Reeves is surviving well by controlling Tillman's body position as best he can.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Reeves is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

You can see the frustration on Reeves's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Tillman lands a shot to the body.

Tillman keeps control of the position as Reeves tries to break free.
Reeves staying busy and making it hard for Tillman to control.
Reeves is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Will Tillman go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Tillman just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Let's hope that Tillman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Tillman has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Reeves has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tillman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tillman controls Reeves momentarily but Reeves frees himself.

Reeves shoots for a takedown but Tillman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Tillman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Reeves napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Tillman is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Reeves will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Audell Tillman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
