Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Almeida shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moriarty sprawls well. Moriarty wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Almeida gets slowly back to his feet.
A counter left hand to the body from Moriarty misses its target.
Almeida tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moriarty sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Almeida somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Almeida throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moriarty's waist but Moriarty gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Almeida off to one side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Almeida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Moriarty but Moriarty pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Almeida tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Moriarty defends well and Almeida ends up having to push Moriarty into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Moriarty swings wildly with an uppercut but Almeida uses good head movement to avoid it.
Almeida has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Moriarty is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

James Moriarty decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
