The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bjornsson connects with a looping right hand.
Hughes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hughes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hughes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Hughes fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Hughes swings wildly with an uppercut but Bjornsson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hughes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bjornsson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hughes moves away.
Bjornsson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Bjornsson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hughes walks away with a smile on his face. Bjornsson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hughes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bjornsson circles away quickly and effectively.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hughes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Hughes is pressed up against the cage. Bjornsson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hughes down to the mat. Hughes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hughes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bjornsson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hughes just stands there and leans against the cage.

Hughes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bjornsson is aware though and is defending well.

Hughes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bjornsson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hughes.
Bjornsson tries to advance to mount but Hughes instead regains half guard.
Hughes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bjornsson is working away from the top position though.

Bjornsson uses his free foot to push down on Hughes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hughes.

Bjornsson has his feet on Hughes's thighs here. He's pushed Hughes off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hughes screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
