Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Utu Mutu (ranked 3837 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hatfield McCoy (ranked 2261 p4p, 0 weight class). McCoy has chosen Dueling Banjos as his entrance music. Hatfield McCoy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hatfield McCoy!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy moves into range and connects with a jab.
McCoy digs a good hook to Mutu's body.
Mutu with a lazy takedown attempt
and McCoy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mutu thinking.
Mutu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Utu Mutu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mutu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mutu shoots in but no luck this time.
McCoy is trying to counter with his kicks.
Mutu seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

McCoy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCoy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
McCoy prevents Mutu from improving his position.
Mutu has a hand on McCoy's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. McCoy takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCoy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

McCoy looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Mutu is trying to escape the mount.

Mutu is working hard here to advance position.

McCoy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mutu can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
McCoy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McCoy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCoy lands a big shot there that rocks Mutu but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

McCoy breaks from Mutu's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hatfield McCoy dominated that round.

Mutu is rocked!
McCoy circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mutu to the canvas! Mutu doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - McCoy keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
