PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Daddy Johnson (ranked 2940 p4p, 115 weight class) and John Maben (ranked 3707 p4p, 97 weight class). Johnson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DMX- X Gon' Give it to Ya. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maben tries to sprawl but Johnson drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Maben is bucking up trying to escape but Johnson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Johnson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Maben has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Maben!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Maben enables Johnson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Maben manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
