Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Shepherd (ranked 22288 p4p, 0 weight class) and Collin Sims (ranked 4235 p4p, 393 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Collin Sims has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Shepherd drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sims looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Shepherd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sims has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shepherd has managed to get both his arms back between Sims's legs - danger averted.

Shepherd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Shepherd's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sims working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shepherd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Sims is tightening it up a little... Shepherd has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Shepherd reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Shepherd taps out! Nice BJJ there by Sims!
