Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pupu Tupuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pertti Keinonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pupu Tupuna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pertti Keinonen!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupuna tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Keinonen tries to clinch there but Tupuna circles away.

Tupuna moves into the clinch successfully.
Tupuna wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tupuna wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Keinonen has him pressed against the cage.
Tupuna wants to break free but Keinonen has control.

Keinonen breaks from the clinch.
Keinonen shoots for a double leg takedown but Tupuna sprawls well. He's pushed Keinonen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Keinonen slips a jab and a cross from Tupuna.
Nice takedown defense from Keinonen. No joy for Tupuna on that attempt.

Tupuna gets caught flat footed, as Keinonen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Keinonen trying to control the position from guard on top but Tupuna is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Keinonen stands up from Tupuna's guard - Keinonen perhaps looking for a knockout.
Keinonen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Tupuna escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tupuna lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Keinonen circles away quickly and effectively.

Keinonen scores a takedown into full mount!
Tupuna is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Tupuna stops Keinonen from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Tupuna takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Tupuna knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Keinonen on the ground.
Keinonen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tupuna is looking to escape.
Tupuna is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Tupuna is breathing heavily.

Keinonen wants to finish this one by submission but Tupuna is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Keinonen.

Keinonen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tupuna is surviving well by controlling Keinonen's body position as best he can.
Tupuna is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Keinonen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tupuna is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tupuna tries to stand but Keinonen is controlling from the bottom.

Tupuna decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tupuna throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Keinonen shoots in and drives through. Tupuna sprawls well.

Tupuna tries to bum rush Keinonen with a series of wild strikes but Keinonen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The strikes coming from Keinonen are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Tupuna is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Keinonen asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Keinonen. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A combination from Tupuna does no damage.

Keinonen clinches up against the cage.
Tupuna is trying to break the clinch but Keinonen has him pressed against the cage.

Keinonen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Keinonen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tupuna.
Tupuna keeps the fight on the outside.
Tupuna wants to clinch up but Keinonen keeps it at a distance.

Tupuna tries to close the distance and clinch but Keinonen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pupu Tupuna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Keinonen has hold of Tupuna's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tupuna manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pertti Keinonen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Keinonen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Pupu Tupuna has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
