The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Burke with that takedown attempt.
Vesham changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Burke avoids a punch combination nicely.
Burke throws a sloppy head kick and Vesham moves out of range easily.

Vesham has taken the fight to the clinch.
Vesham is looking to break free of the clinch but Burke has double underhooks.
Burke misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burke has picked Vesham up - he's going for a ride! Burke dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Vesham kicks Burke off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vesham closes the distance and pushes Burke back into the cage.

Burke turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Burke manages to end up in side control.

Vesham bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Vesham tries to score with some ground and pound. Burke controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Burke sneaks back into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Vesham is looking for submissions but instead, Burke has regained full guard.

Burke has momentary wrist control but Vesham slips an elbow through the middle.
Burke has his hands on Vesham's head, controlling the position.

Oooooh!!! Vesham has knocked Burke down with a huge combo! Vesham steps away and waves a wobbly Burke back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Francesco Burke has been cut.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Vesham moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Burke! Vesham continues to tee off on Burke, landing with a left and a right! Vesham connects with a right hand that leaves Burke sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Vesham!
