The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kotkaniemi connects with a right hand. Lothbrok shakes it off.
Lothbrok takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kotkaniemi misses with a takedown attempt - Lothbrok sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lothbrok has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kotkaniemi finds it's way round the side to connect with Lothbrok's head.

Kotkaniemi feints and as Lothbrok raises his hands in defense, Kotkaniemi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've been hearing that Kotkaniemi has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Lothbrok manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kotkaniemi manages to get himself to full guard.

Lothbrok kicks off Kotkaniemi and gets to his feet.
Kotkaniemi connects with a jab.

Kotkaniemi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lothbrok wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kotkaniemi manages to pass to side control.
Lothbrok is still in real trouble! Can Kotkaniemi finish him?

Kotkaniemi scores with a big shot! Lothbrok's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Lothbrok! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
