Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Emile Hood (ranked 24862 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Clancy (ranked 4873 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clancy tries for a takedown but Hood circles away easily
and Hood counters with a series of strikes. Clancy will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Hood holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hood prevents the takedown attempt.
Emile Hood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Clancy.
Clancy is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hood is defending well.
Hood cracks Clancy with a nice body shot.
Hood gets through Clancy's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Clancy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hood after a bit of a struggle.

Hood seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Clancy goes for a takedown attempt but Hood pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hood has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Clancy uses from the top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hood is on top in guard.

Clancy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hood is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Clancy.

Hood kicks Clancy off and gets back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Clancy is defended easily by Hood.
Hood tries to counter by clinching up but Clancy breaks away and moves out of range.
Clancy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hood avoids it really well and circles away.
Hood is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Clancy.

Clancy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hood defends well and Clancy ends up having to push Hood into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Clancy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hood pinned against the cage. Hood gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hood wants to stand and escape but Clancy is having none of it.

Oh Hood is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clancy on the ground.
Clancy loads up on a big left hand. Hood felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Clancy looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hood can't hide his disappointment, as Clancy celebrates the victory.
