The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brian shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brian was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Stanley is trying to control Brian's posture but Brian avoids it.
Stanley is trying to get back to half guard.
Stanley manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brian can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stanley is trying to get an arm triangle but Brian is defending well.

Brian tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Stanley easily slips into full mount!
Brian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stanley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stanley lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Stanley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brian looks a forlorn figure.
Stanley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brian is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Stanley is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brian to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brian shrugs it off.
Stanley cracks Brian with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
