Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Quintus Rex!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rex drives through with a takedown into Bird's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

It looks like Efren Bird has been cut.

Rex clinches up with Bird and pushes him back against the cage.

Bird drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bird jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Quintus Rex showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Bird's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Rex closes the distance and pushes Bird back into the cage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bird has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Rex is on him like a limpet, forcing Bird back against the cage.

Rex works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Well Rex has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
