The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis lands a nice shot that snaps Heimer's head back.
Ellis lands a two punch combo.
Heimer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Heimer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ellis as he jumps to the side.
Heimer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ellis swivels and escapes.
Heimer shoots in for a takedown but Ellis shows good takedown defense.
Jack Ellis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tuten Heimer.
Ellis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Heimer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Heimer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ellis!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ellis is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Heimer landing strikes from the mount and Ellis is in trouble!

Heimer is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ellis is surviving well by controlling Heimer's body position as best he can.
Heimer is landing with some decent strikes but Ellis is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Ellis really wants to buck Heimer off and get back to his feet.
Ellis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Heimer on the ground.
Ellis is breathing heavily.

Heimer is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Ellis is forced to tap! Great finish!
