PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gobal Batra (ranked 487 p4p, 77 weight class) and Doppo Orochi (ranked 554 p4p, 87 weight class). Orochi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. RISE - I Prevail kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Doppo Orochi acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orochi throws an overhand right that lands on Batra's shoulder, as Batra tries to avoid the shot.
Orochi misses with a leg kick.
Batra uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Orochi.
Orochi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Batra connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Orochi lands with a nice combination. Batra backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Gobal Batra has been cut.
Gobal Batra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Orochi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Batra has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Batra and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Orochi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Orochi finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Orochi throws a leg kick but Batra sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Batra is looking to counter the offense by Orochi and move into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Batra fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Orochi manages to avoid it.
Orochi scores with a leg kick.
Orochi throws a push kick but Batra slaps the foot to one side.
Batra swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Batra feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Orochis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Donk. Batra catches Orochi right on the button with a cross.

Orochi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Orochi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Batra scores with a leg kick.

Batra drops Orochi with a beautiful combination! Orochi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Batra is looking for the KO!
Batra throws a nice outside leg kick.
Orochi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Batra sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice body punch from Batra.
The crowd cheers as Orochi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Batra doesn't seem phased though.
Orochi throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Batra to counter with a crisp jab.
Batra looks to land a left hand but Orochi moved out of range nicely.
Batra throws a half hearted mid kick.
Orochi throws a front kick aimed at Batra's knee but Batra avoids it well.
Orochi throws a right and a left that Batra avoids nicely.
The fighters circling - Orochi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Batra lands a left and a right that send Orochi crashing to the mat, dazed. Batra thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Orochi is rocked!
Orochi is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Batra just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Orochi has gone limp and this one is over!
