Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jumpin Jack Flash (ranked 4875 p4p, 195 weight class) and Davey Carver (ranked 5057 p4p, 205 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Davey Carver!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carver forces Flash back against the cage and clinches.

Flash jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carver walks away with a smile on his face. Flash gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flash looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carver is fending him off so far but Flash persists. Nope, Carver circles away and we're back to standing.

Carver throws a hook but Flash avoids it easily.
Flash uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carver.

Carver throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carver dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Carver misses with an uppercut. Flash saw that one coming.

Flash changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flash is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Carver has managed to free his arm - good work.
Carver wants to control but Flash is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Flash is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carver defends it well.

Flash is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carver doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Flash.
Carver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flash. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Flash tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Flash has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Carver might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Flash haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round but I would say that Jumpin Jack Flash will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Carver throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Flash on the side of the head.
Flash uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carver.
Carver throws a jab when Flash was well out of range.

Flash jumps guard but Carver stands there with Flash around his waist. Flash gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Carver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Flash feinted with a counter takedown.
Carver throws a big shot that misses.
Carver keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Flash takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Carver lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Davey Carver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Oh Flash is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carver moves away from the strike by Flash.

Carver cracks Flash with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Carver has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Flash to stand back up!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
