Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gene Tunney (ranked 20135 p4p, 525 weight class) and Kenny Knight (ranked 5465 p4p, 446 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gene Tunney !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Knight!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tunney takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Knight slips under a jab from Tunney .
Nice takedown defense from Tunney . No joy for Knight on that attempt.
Tunney is looking for a counter combo.

Knight feints and as Tunney raises his hands in defense, Knight changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Tunney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Knight might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tunney haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knight thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Knight jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tunney manages to avoid the submission attempt.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Knight has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Tunney is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Knight.
Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Tunney paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Knight looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Knight drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tunney looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tunney looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tunney !

Knight manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tunney on his heels. He'll look to pass Tunney 's guard now, I'm sure.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gene Tunney will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Knight tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Knight has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tunney can't do much from the bottom here.

I think Knight has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
