Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gunther Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sage Rocca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Gnarls Barkley - Crazy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gunther Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sage Rocca!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Rocca.
Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gracie tries to clinch but Rocca moves out of range.
No joy there for Rocca, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gracie shoots in and bounces Rocca off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rocca keeps working.

Gracie swings around for an armbar but Rocca sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rocca is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rocca's back instead.

Gracie lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Gracie.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Gracie looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Rocca is controlling Gracie 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
Gracie is breathing heavily.

Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rocca is one step ahead there.

Gracie has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rocca off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Rocca tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rocca throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gracie moves into range and clinches up with Rocca.
Rocca is pressed up against the cage. Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rocca down to the mat. Rocca avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Gracie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rocca pulls him back up using the underhooks.

and Gracie counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gracie.

Gracie drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rocca gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Rocca breaks the clinch.

Rocca moves into range and clinches up with Gracie.
Gracie is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Gracie drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gracie fails to pull guard.
Gracie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rocca fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rocca has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rocca tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rocca avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rocca has had enough of the clinch but Gracie keeps him there for the moment.

Gracie in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Rocca tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gracie!
