Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iku Roe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua comes to the cage accompanied by Slayed. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mauricio Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Iku Roe!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rua pinned against the cage. Rua gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice uppercut there from Rua.
Roe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rua's waist but Rua gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Roe off to one side.
Roe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rua as he jumps to the side.
Mauricio Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iku Roe.
Rua misses the shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roe.
Rua lands a body shot.
Roe tries to move into range but Rua moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Iku Roe has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

You can see the frustration on Rua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rua is looking for a sweep. Roe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rua is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roe is just content to waste time from the top position. Rua takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Rua has momentary wrist control but Roe slips an elbow through the middle.
Roe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rua not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rua fails to land with a series of punches.
Roe tries a low kick but Rua avoids it.
Nice takedown defense from Rua. No joy for Roe on that attempt.
Rua cracks Roe with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Roe shoots in and drives through. Rua sprawls well.
Roe shoots in for a takedown but Rua shows good takedown defense.
Rua lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Roe backs up against the cage.
Roe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rua as he avoids it easily.
Rua scores with the left hand. Roe knows he should have avoided that one.
Iku Roe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rua sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Roe to the ground! Rua dives into full mount looking to finish!

Rua has hold of Roe's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Roe manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Roe keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Rua is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Roe is surviving well by controlling Rua's body position as best he can.
Roe is desperately trying to improve his position but Rua has a good base and remains in mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Roe is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Roe is bucking up trying to escape but Rua cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Roe is looking to improve his position but Rua isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rua cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rua trying to control but Roe is having none of it.
Roe is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Rua's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Roe tries for a takedown but Rua sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Roe walks into a left hand.
Roe tries to clinch there but Rua circles away.
Roe shoots in but Rua avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Roe throws a leg kick but Rua sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Roe shoots for a takedown but Rua saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rua paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Roe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rua is fending him off so far but Roe persists. Nope, Rua circles away and we're back to standing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rua lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That has opened up Iku Roe's cut even more.
Roe is breathing heavily.

Roe has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rua finds it's way round the side to connect with Roe's head.
Roe is still on wobbly legs! Can Rua finish him?
Look low, kick high! Rua uses the oldest trick in the book to send Roe tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Rua is absolutely delighted - when Roe wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
