PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marc Case (ranked 24879 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sparz Tic (ranked 4984 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Case with a lazy takedown attempt
and Tic counters with a straight right hand.

Tic gets a double leg takedown into Case's guard.
Case wants to stand but Tic is controlling the position.

Case is working an open guard so Tic takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Tic closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Case might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tic with the ground and pound but Case uses the opportunity to regain guard.

It looks like Marc Case has been cut.

Tic closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Case's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Tic rushes Case and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Case tries to kick Tic off but Tic keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Tic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Case manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Case wants to stand and escape but Tic is having none of it.

Case has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tic off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Case stands and steps away. Tic gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Case tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tic is in Case's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marc Case will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well Tic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
