Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Hugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Bruxo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo comes into the arena with Yvan & Dan Daniel - Enjoy The Silence blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruxo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bruxo gets a takedown into half guard.

Bruxo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hugo keeps working.

Hugo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bruxo wants to hold on but Hugo pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bruxo is in all sorts of trouble here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bruxo is desperately trying to improve his position but Hugo has a good base and remains in mount.

Hugo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bruxo on the ground.

Hugo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Hugo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hugo showed some decent athleticism there.

Bruxo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bruxo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bruxo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bruxo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hugo wants to control but Bruxo is having none of it.
Bruxo looking to ground and pound but Hugo is blocking nicely.
