Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between BJ Ericsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Llyod Di (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Di tries to clinch but Ericsson is having none of it.

Di scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Di manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Di moves into the clinch.
Di wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ericsson has him pressed against the cage.

Di breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Di throws a right hand that Ericsson ducks under and follows up with a left that Ericsson also avoids with ease.

Di rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ericsson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Di tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Di looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Di is looking to clinch but Ericsson is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Di looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Horrible takedown by Ericsson or perhaps it was just good defense by Di which made him look bad.

Ericsson goes for a takedown attempt but Di pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Di slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Di tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ericsson is able to avoid easily.
No luck for Ericsson with that takedown attempt.
Di feints and then cracks Ericsson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ericsson down.
Ericsson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Di.
Di fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ericsson.
Di is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Ericsson wants to control but Di is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Di get's back to his feet.
Di fails to land with a series of punches.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Di ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ericsson moves away.

Ericsson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Di walks away with a smile on his face. Ericsson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Di tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ericsson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
BJ Ericsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Di gets caught flat footed, as Ericsson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ericsson slips nicely into half guard.
Ericsson stops Di from getting back to his feet.
Ericsson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ericsson is keen to just control but Di is a slippery customer.
Ericsson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Ericsson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Di is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Di bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ericsson keeps the fight on the outside.

Ericsson shoots in looking for a takedown. Di tries to sprawl out of it but Ericsson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Di manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ericsson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Di pushes Ericsson off looking to stand but Ericsson dives back in and keeps control.

BJ Ericsson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
