The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Humphrey gets a double leg takedown into Daniels's guard.

Daniels pushes Humphrey off and gets back to his feet.
Daniels wants to clinch up but Humphrey keeps it at a distance.

Humphrey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daniels looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daniels tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daniels can do anything to dispel that myth.

Humphrey wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Daniels, who protects the arm well.
Daniels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Humphrey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
You can see the frustration on Daniels's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Humphrey lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Humphrey is staying tight to Daniels's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Humphrey tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Daniels tries to bench press Humphrey off him but Humphrey keeps the position.

Daniels wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Humphrey has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Daniels's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Daniels is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Humphrey!
